SeeIdle
Currently in live use for enterprise reverse-logistics and asset-recovery projects, across retail, warehousing and facilities

Every enterprise has assets nobody is using.
See Idle. Act on it.

Discover what's sitting unused across offices, stores, warehouses and project sites. Decide whether to reuse, relocate, repair, sell or recycle it โ€” and keep the entire outcome documented, not scattered across a WhatsApp thread.

The Problem

Every industry has a dark storage room.

A broken chair in an office store room. Scrap and cartons in a retail stockroom. Event gear idle for six months. A floor nobody has audited all year. The gap isn't recognition โ€” it's that nobody has a system to discover it, flag it, and close the loop.

โ–ฆ

WhatsApp evidence gets scattered

Photos, floor numbers and condition notes stay buried in chats instead of becoming a usable, searchable record.

๐Ÿ”ฅ

Fire & safety risk hides in plain sight

Cartons and scrap pile up in electrical rooms and stockrooms with no owner, no timestamp, and no proof it was resolved.

โ‚น

Useful assets get bought again

Idle assets are invisible to other teams and floors, so reuse opportunities are missed and value โ€” and carbon โ€” is lost.

Industries

Built for every team that loses track of assets.

The same capture-and-close workflow adapts to how each industry actually loses visibility.

Office

Dark Storage

Assets go idle after a tech refresh, a breakage, or even a single scratch on a chair โ€” and get dumped in the store room, never to be seen again.

Discover what's lost. Discover what's in your dark hole.
Retail

Stockroom Scrap

Replaced or repaired assets โ€” and the carton boxes they arrived in โ€” pile up in the back stockroom, forgotten and untracked.

Fire risk from unmanaged cartons and scrap
Events

Seasonal Idle & Site Transfers

Assets sit idle for months in the off-season, then move site-to-site during active season โ€” the exact moment things go missing if they aren't recorded.

Off-season custody + high-risk site transfers
Warehousing & Supply Chain

Site-to-Warehouse Transitions

Vehicle details, invoices, e-way bills and unloading photos need to travel with the asset โ€” not scatter across chats and folders.

Tenant Reporting

Findings from a floor audit can be shared directly with tenants, used to trigger disposal, and โ€” once redeployment data builds up โ€” reported as measurable carbon saved (upcoming).

For Your Role

Built for whoever has to answer for a lost or risky asset.

Different people feel this problem differently โ€” SeeIdle gives each of them the view they actually need.

CFO / Finance

Stop paying twice

See idle asset value across sites before approving new purchase requests. Fewer write-offs, clearer capex decisions.

Facility Head

Close the audit loop

Turn floor walks into a structured, timestamped record instead of a WhatsApp photo dump and a manual Excel.

Admin Head

Know what's in every store room

One board across offices, towers and stockrooms โ€” no more relying on someone's memory of "what's in there."

Project Manager

Prove custody, end to end

Every movement โ€” site to site, site to warehouse โ€” carries photo proof, documents and a receiving confirmation.

Purchase / Procurement

Check idle stock first

Before raising a PO, see what's already sitting unused and reusable across teams and locations.

Real World

This happened in a residents' group chat this week.

A resident spotted a fire risk. It got typed into a chat that fifty other messages will bury by tomorrow โ€” no owner, no timestamp, no proof it was ever resolved. This is exactly the flow SeeIdle replaces.

Tracked

Enterprise assets rarely disappear. They become invisible.

They move from active use into store rooms, backrooms, warehouses, electrical rooms, basements, project sites and vendor facilities โ€” and fall outside normal attention. The pattern repeats across every industry we've worked with:

Uncontrolled

A vendor was authorized to collect scrap from a warehouse. Nobody had defined exactly which assets he was authorized to take. A truck load of reusable equipment worth over โ‚น20 lakh was already loaded before someone caught it.

Enterprise warehouse, construction assets
Unidentified

A warehouse team could see and count the material perfectly โ€” but couldn't identify half of it by the client's own naming convention. The person with physical access and the person with product knowledge were never the same person.

Third-party storage, inventory reconciliation
Underutilized

30 units sat idle at one location. A project 200km away was about to buy 12 brand-new ones. Neither side knew the other existed โ€” until someone happened to mention it in a meeting.

Multi-site enterprise, internal reuse
Unrecorded

Assets were physically present and in good condition at a site โ€” but had quietly fallen out of the financial fixed asset register. The business wanted to dispose of them, but couldn't get sign-off without knowing which process even applied.

Retail chain, asset register reconciliation
Undecided

New furniture arrives, old furniture gets pushed into storage "for now." Approvals, vendor selection and rate negotiation drag on โ€” and "for now" quietly becomes eighteen months, with the space paid for the whole time.

Corporate office, furniture refresh
Undocumented

An asset gets marked "recycled" in someone's head. The pickup date, weight slip and compliance certificate live in three different inboxes โ€” if they were ever saved at all.

End-of-life asset disposal
This Happened This Week

A Fortune 500 company's storage room, and a paper tally sheet.

A purchase team at a global energy major called about scrap chairs at their head office. When our team went to look, nobody could get inside the room โ€” it was packed floor to ceiling. The only record that existed was a hand-counted list on paper, with printed photos taped in.

Before: paper tally sheet. After: SeeIdle structured capture

172 chairs, 17 different types, one storage room โ€” counted once, on paper, by hand. This is what "out of sight, out of mind" actually looks like inside a Fortune 500 company, not a hypothetical.

Live Pilot โ€” Not A Mockup

A full-scale reverse logistics project, tracked end to end.

One of our enterprise retail clients needed complete reverse-logistics support during a large site changeover. We ran it end to end โ€” dismantling assets on site, capturing each one in SeeIdle, and moving them into custody at a partner warehouse โ€” with every document and photo attached to the record automatically.

The Gap Invoices Don't Show

8 line items. 11 units on paper. 34 pieces on arrival.

The source invoice listed 8 line items totaling 11 units โ€” 6 AHUs, an electrical panel (qty 2), and a distribution board set (qty 3). When the shipment was recounted at the warehouse, it came to 34 physical packets.

An AHU doesn't travel as one item โ€” it breaks into a motor, a remote, and a control panel, each a separate piece. Miss one on the way, and the whole unit is useless. This is exactly where assets get lost: not in one big theft, but in the gap between what an invoice says and what a truck delivers.

Why It Matters

One source of truth for assets that are no longer in normal use.

๐Ÿ”ฅ

Catch risk before it's a mishap

Potential fire and safety risks get flagged for review, owned and resolved โ€” with a timestamp, not a chat message.

โ†ป

Enable reuse, report carbon saved

Teams see what's idle before buying new. Carbon-saved reporting on redeployed items is coming as more data comes in.

โ˜ท

Keep proof together

Photos, documents, floor context and resolution history stay attached to the asset โ€” for any audit.

Trust & Evidence

Every claim is backed by a photo, not a memory.

Built to hold up as an audit trail, not just an app.

๐Ÿ”’

Private by default

Your asset board and photos are visible only within your organization.

๐Ÿงพ

Full history, per asset

Every capture, request, move, flag and resolution is timestamped and kept together.

๐Ÿ“ค

Exportable records

Pull audit reports and movement packets out for compliance, finance or tenant reporting.

What's Next

Where this goes once the record exists.

Two things we're building once enough closed-asset data is live in the system.

๐ŸŒฑ

ESG reporting โ€” UPCOMING

Redeployed vs. replaced items will roll up into a carbon-saved number, reportable to sustainability teams.

๐Ÿ”

Buyer & liquidator marketplace โ€” UPCOMING

Once an asset is marked closed โ€” scrapped, recycled or sold โ€” connect directly to scrap buyers and liquidation partners, with compliance and invoice documents tracked on the same record.

FAQ

Common questions from facility and finance teams.

How is this different from an Excel sheet or WhatsApp?

Excel and WhatsApp both rely on someone remembering to update them. SeeIdle captures the record at the moment of action โ€” a photo, a floor, a flag โ€” so the record builds itself instead of depending on manual entry later.

Do our field teams need training?

The capture flow is designed to take under a minute: photo, quantity, location, condition. Most field teams are productive within their first walk-through.

Can this work across multiple sites, towers or stores?

Yes โ€” assets and audit items are grouped by site, tower and floor by default, and the dashboard rolls up across all of them for admin and finance visibility.

How does the fire/safety risk flag work?

Items in higher-risk categories (cartons, electronics, scrap) get an auto-suggested risk flag, editable in one tap. Flagged items surface in a dedicated view so they don't get buried, and every resolution is timestamped. SeeIdle doesn't determine whether something is actually hazardous โ€” it records the physical observation so an authorized or qualified person on your team can assess it and decide what happens next.

Is this a CMMS, helpdesk, or tenant-ticketing system?

No. SeeIdle doesn't handle maintenance tickets, tenant complaints, or service requests โ€” a broken AC or a leaking pipe isn't a SeeIdle use case. What SeeIdle does handle: physical assets and material that have fallen out of active use and are sitting somewhere without an owner or a decision โ€” old furniture, packaging, fit-out leftovers, equipment nobody's claimed. If it's "something is broken, please fix it," that belongs in your CMMS or helpdesk. If it's "something is just sitting here, what should happen to it," that's SeeIdle.

What does a pilot actually involve?

Typically one site or floor, one team, and one workflow (an audit or a movement) run for 4โ€“6 weeks, with a weekly readout so you can see the record building in real time before deciding to scale.

Start with one floor, store, warehouse or event.

SeeIdle can be piloted with one team, one audit flow, and one clear asset board โ€” across any industry.
